When you want to travel to Norway for less than 90 days, you do not need a visa, as long as you are in possession of a passport of one of the Schengen countries.
Travelling to Norway is only possible with a valid passport or valid identity card. Please note: a driver’s license is not a valid travel document!

Travelling with your own vehicle
If you are coming to the terminal in the Eemshaven with your own vehicle, we advise you to plan your trip in advance and use the following site: Groningen Bereikbaar. -
Travelling with public transport
If you are travelling with public transport to the terminal in the Eemshaven, you can get off at Eemshaven Station. Please consult ns.nl or 9292.nl for planning your trip. There are several train taxis driving from the train station in Eemshaven to our terminal, starting from 13:00 pm. You can pre-book this taxi for €2 per person.

Tax Returns
In some cases it is possible to fill in a tax return form for goods purchased in Norway. You can arrange this while you are still in Norway. In order to do so, you need to first request a tax return form.
You can request a form online, before you travel. You can do that on this site.
Take the following steps:
1. Choose ‘Travelling to and from Norway’
2. Choose ‘Travelling from Norway’
3. Choose ‘Reimbursement of VAT to tourists’
4. Download the form and bring it to Norway, to fill it in there
In Kristiansand, you can have your form validated at Nord Gifts, in the Markensgate 6.
1. Make sure that all your Forms are properly filled in
2. Present your unused purchases, receipts, passport and Tax Free Forms for export validation
3. Once your Tax Free Form has been validated, our team will arrange for payment of your refund in cash or to your credit card
